Lirico, raising the bar of ceramic production

Not a trick of the camera, this is actually two OF Liricos facing each other. These authentic "cliffs of Carlsbad" photos were some of the few Marcher Ware photos not done in the glorious climate which is Mira Mesa.
Here are the original Lirico pictures. The final version was a richer red color, although there are a few of the "cocoa" variations in existence.

Here's the darker bay, earlier variation. This dark bay was a test for the OF color, and was originally listed as a custom "dark bay". You can see the difference in shading and sock placeement from the later, final versions. It was decided that there wasn't enough difference between the "dark bay" customs and the OF run, so the darker bay was added as a variation.

Here's an OF taken June 2003. Note the difference in color from the final color, as seen in the picture below, from September. Personally, I like the pictures with a solid background more than the outdoor ones - and once we move into our new house (closer to the factory, too!), we'll have a room to devote to playing photo studio in. Then we shouldn't have any issues with glare. Yippie!

Here's the final color, which nearly all of the OF Run is. I (the photographer and web minion) own an OF without a face marking, and I don't believe this to be a unique variation. There are some benefits, after all, to helping out the factory. :-)

Here is the final production color facing left. The day we took these pictures, we shaved my sheltie. Well, actually, Joanie shaved my sheltie. There are pictures of this, if you want them, ask.
